Its been three years.....
Binhi started in June 2004....
We started the planning and the research in October 2003.
so its really 4 years now...
Together,
with the children and the youth;
we, the volunteers-
and all those who have been giving us support in whatever means...
we strive,
and work on our own way,
to make something out of ourselves,
to imagine and to create,
to make and to realize,
to live the Dream,
thru the Arts.
To Dream, the very bedrock of Freedom....

About BINHI...
Binhi Creative Arts and Crafts Workshop, Inc. is a charity project founded by young artists in Negros Occidental. It is an Art Workshop offered to underprivileged children and youth, both in school and out-of-school, held at Brgy. Banago every Saturday for a whole school year for free. The workshop is given by volunteer artists who are willing to spend their time with these younglings and share their skills and wisdom for the benefit of these children and youth.
“Binhi” is a Hiligaynon term for seed. It is a part of a flowering plant that contains an embryo and would develop into a new plant if sown.
Concieved to give a free education thru the Arts to the children and the young; to help them grow up, to develop them emotionally, intellectually, culturally and spiritually; to widen their understanding that they could become better individuals, help them realize their purpose, and prepare them for adulthood on a belief that life could be made meaningful and beautiful thru Art.Posted by BINHI at 5:48 AM 5 comments
